We all want to feel good and full of energy to be able to take on life’s daily challenges. If you sometimes feel tired, sluggish or stressed out, it’s worth considering that the food you eat may be affecting your mood.

The Mood Food Manual features a compilation of our top mood-boosting foods and a selection of delicious recipes to help you incorporate ingredients into your diet that will lift your spirits and increase your energy.

Sticking to a balanced diet comprising of healthy amounts of complex carbohydrates, essential fats, amino acids, vitamins, minerals and water, can boost your mood and increase your energy levels and sense of well-being.

All the nutritional information in the manual is provided by Dr Schenker, a qualified and registered dietitian, public health nutritionist and accredited sports dietitian. As a busy mum of two with a wealth of experience, Sarah is expertly placed to advise on how food and drink affects your performance and overall mood and wellbeing.

To provide further insight, Dr Christy Fergusson, a doctor of psychology and nutritional therapist, helps advise how food can affect your emotional wellbeing and explores the concept of mindful eating.

Being aware of how the food we eat can affect our shape, health, mood and energy levels, will naturally improve your relationship with food to maximise your enjoyment of what you eat. We hope this manual will help you to understand more about how your diet can affect you.
